In the last week I've scored MMPBs of the original Memory Sorrow & Thorn trilogy, all of Dark Tower and most of Gaunt's Ghosts on eBay and its so thoroughly satisfying to have worn mass-markets in my hands instead of those huge, unwieldly dictionary-sized paperbacks they insist on foisting on us now

Their primary product now is Hype (TM) and their primary customer is "gullible investors and shareholders who will throw money at anything with enough buzzwords in the presentation"

The rest of us are just along for the (very dumb) ride.

Claiming you shouldn't have to pay for art because capitalism is bad is like saying you don't tip waiters because you think tipping culture is bad.

And in the case of Facebook making shittons of money off stolen IP it's like saying it's okay for Wal Mart to steal wages because capitalism is bad.

There is no bipartisanship to be had with those denying trans' people's existence or the humanity of immigrants, and installing dangerous figures like Hegseth and RFK Jr in key government jobs, while palling around with a neo-Nazi billionaire. The only resolve you need is to oppose these people.

It was quite the struggle to not have this post devolve into self-deprecating comments about how little I'm writing now, or bitterness about all the things distracting me from writing!
