The Silver Tide by J.H. Mann is loosely based on a true and tragic story and is an incredibly moving book. I felt a wide range of emotions whilst I read this and once I finished it, which I did in a couple of sittings due to the fact that I couldn’t put it down.

My Friday review is Daughter of Genoa by Kat Devereux. I have waited in anticipation for Kat’s second novel after really enjoying Escape to Tuscany and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a book that I couldn’t put down. The narrative draws you through the life of Anna and everyone that she encounters.

Sir Louis Curlewy by Susan Crow is a lovely little book that is ideal for slipping into your rucksack when you go on a nature walk with a little one so that you can read it to them when, or if , you are lucky enough, as I was , to see and hear the curlews circling overhead.

Gosh what a read is The Madness by Dawn Kurtagich ! There is never a moment within this book where you can just breathe out and relax. It plays with your mind on all levels as the narrative gets deeper and deeper, drawing you in to what is happening to Lucy and Mina’s Jane Doe patient.

Just been sent the latest Rhona Macleod thriller The Dead and the Dying by Lin Anderson to review and to say I am gripped by it is an under statement. I thought her last book Whispers of the Dead was incredible but this is one step ahead of that, which I wouldn't have thought possible......

A Scottish Teashop in Napoli by Jane Lambert is a lovely gentle read.It is also a beacon of light to show that you can come back from something that sets you back and find yourself in a better place. Plus it has recipes for cake- what is there not to like about that.😁😁😁

The Little Cottage by the Cornish Sea by Nancy Barone is one of those lovely books that you need to have on one side for one of those days that you want to escape from. I can’t think of a better place to escape to than Starry Cove and the amazing group of “Coastal Girls” that we could all do with.
