This makes perfect sense. For so long, if you wanted a story you had to listen to someone tell it. Only relatively recently did we get "books". I wonder how much of reading stories the way we do developed because our brains were already tickled by listening to stories. A lot, probs.

Hard agree. Audiobooks are the best when you're doing something physical that doesn't engage your brain. I cannot listen to them while working, but long drives, garden work, cleaning the garage? That's the audiobook zone.

If he's anything like I was as a younger man living alone, the answer is bare walls, no sheets on the bed, and dust EVERYWHERE. I also didn't have a sink in the bathroom, so I had my toothbrush and toothpaste in a cup by the kitchen sink. #glamour

Yeah, nothing really beats the insane value of Logic for a Mac user. I am personally a Studio One user, but Logic was invaluable in my early learning. And I've only paid for it twice: once on disc and the other in the App store a million year ago.

Thank you for not recommending Reaper to beginners. So many do, and it's wrong. Reaper is great, very powerful, but requires a ton of domain knowledge to use properly that beginners just don't have.

Can I add ever-shrinking leg room to my list of complaints as someone over 6'?

I usually just put things in brackets and write [REVISIT]. I should really get more literary with my notes.

I read it last year for the first time! Book Bastian is such a frustrating shit. It was great and made me want to read The Princess Bride and The Last Unicorn, neither of which I’ve read.
