Heading into two shows next week with our friends in SKWM. A nice article that’s mostly factually accurate.

Since mid-January, I’ve been working almost exclusively on the largest single project of my 30 year career. “After the Age of Dinosaurs” opens August 39 at Chicago’s Field Museum, and includes almost 70 illustrations (by me) of the rise of mammals, birds, and reptiles starting 65 million years ago.

I've been thinking about digging out the old Itunes hard drives and ditching streaming to going back to the "old days" of 2005, carrying around a separate Ipod with my music collection on it. With Spotify down today, my hand has been forced, and I'm currently re-importing "Drums and Guns" by Low.

Registered for Bluesky over a year ago, but have yet to fully engage in political doomscrolling here. Just took Sinker’s advice and moved Twitter to a back page of my phone and replaced the icon with this one. I probably don’t have the time to post work pictures here. That will stay on IG for now.

Hello to Bluesky. First post. Current work is available at thebirdmachine.com. Instagram is still my main go-to, @ thebirdmachine. Drink some coffee, call a family member to say hi, double-knot your shoes, and go outside.
