Anybody have any ideas how we can begin to push for blocking the extension of the #TrumpTaxCuts??? I’m so tired of everyone paying more than their fair share except for the people who can actually afford it. We deserve a break, not the ones with #CorporateWelfare. #TaxtheRich

Your post is (unintentionally?) misleading. Several nutrition scientists have already addressed this. A causal link was found in male rats at a dose higher than we’d ever be exposed to AND thru a mechanism that doesn’t exist in humans. The Delaney clause was triggered thru a new review request.

@drjessicaknurick.bsky.social already addressed this on insta today. It was previously banned for certain uses in 1990, but grandfathered in for food-use due to older interpretation of the Delaney clause. Modern legal interpretation triggered by the new request for review led to today’s decision.

@drjessicaknurick.bsky.social already covered this on her insta, but this was linked to cancer in male rates with 1) high doses humans aren’t exposed to and 2) via a mechanism that doesn’t exist in humans. But the Delaney Clause automatically causes bans where any studies link human OR ANIMAL risk.
