Ah I see what you are saying. When I put M lenses on my SL2-S, I just put it in aperture priority. I don't have a problem focusing when I stop the lens down. Plus I see the actually depth of field when composing. But I can see the other point of view.

I am curious why do you want an electronically controlled aperture?

From what I have read this is an offshoot and not a replacement for the M. I know people have been asking for this for a while but I don't see the point. Since you can add an EVF to modern M bodies.
