there is NOT a "purpose of art", universal from person to person, unchanged through time. cueva de las manos was not made for the same reason as the sistine chapel ceiling, which was not made for the same reason as a bara furry paining. to imply otherwise is silly

if your whole argument for "PDB (sic) hates trans men" is that they said "get in" instead of "stay there" or smth like that, you're just seeing mirages, maybe show some actual proof of wrongdoing? I'm not "assuming the best" I'm just reading what's written without imagining things

untrue! a camab man isn't JUST born into the cage, he also works every day of his life to stay there, to reinforce it. and seeing as camab men are the 99.something percent of all men and also likely the men deer was surrounded by and told to emulate growing up I'd wager they meant those!

and make no mistake, the purpose of this post is to slander deer by interpreting a thing they said in the worst possible faith on purpose to fascilitate harrasing them, nothing else, this is done to them and and more broadly trans people all the time (who can possibly guess why that is?)

them saying something that if read literally and not through the lens of their experience (they aren't talking about trans men at all in fact) is offensive to trans men is not in fact transphobic of them, does not indicate hatred of trans men as op implies, and is not a valid reason to harras them

to clarify, this isn't me shitting on malevich, I'm using the black square as an athisesis to your idea of what art is supposed to do. you can certainly guess what the intent behind making it was, and it can be an element of your artistic enjoynment if it, but it would be just that, guesses.

if art is about what you say it's about (conversation, conveying an idea) (it's not by the way, but that's a separate issue) then ai art fits the bill, it can still do that. if someone generates an image or a big breasted woman it conveys to you just as much as malevich's black square, if not more

why did the prompter type in that specific prompt? why out of all the variations and permutations of the prompt end result did they select that one? the arguemnt that there is not intent behind it falls apart due to the fact that the image would not exist unless a human clicked some buttons

but the way you explain what makes a those art forms Art makes no sense. if you paint a stil life piece for your class but you're not "inspired" by it it's not art? if you draw something not becuase you want to or are "captured" by it but because, idk, someone payed you to, then it's not art?

synthesis is a bad word here certanly, op used it to describe the ai transformative process and I echoed it to describe a "look at thing and draw it" process. My main point was that art isn't necessarily "something never seen before", and thus you can't discredit ai as "not real art" on that basis

Im curious how you would define "human element" in a way that excludes the input humans do have on ai generation, like the prompt that determines what the ai makes in the first place, and the fact that they control which iteration of the ai's output is the "finished" one. is that not human element?

can't adress every single thing right now but the basic jist of what you're getting wrong is that they are not talking about body positivity (illusory, untagible) and are talking about how fat art gets less traction (real measurable metric with an identifiable cause (fatfobia))
