Wow. It should get more attention that on most social media sites aside from X, the Trump White House is getting absolutely ripped to shreds over the shutdown. These Instagram comments are absolutely brutal for them.

Today a judge said what has been clear from the beginning: the evidence shows the Trump Admin is vindictively punishing Mr. Abrego Garcia for having the audacity to pursue his due process rights.

Those rights MUST be upheld. This is not about one man — it’s about ALL our rights.

We have many options, in addition to protest marches and rallies, for engaging in nonviolent resistance to the authoritarian regime.

Here's an example from the "Beautiful Trouble" web site:

all I’m saying is that there must be some really high up political people in those files. Not only Trump but somebody on the Supreme Court might also be in there because damn he’s willing to incite violence and declare war on our cities just to keep from releasing the files. #releasethefiles

A FEDERAL JUDGE said “no evidence before the court connects Abrego Garcia to MS-13 or any criminal organization.” No one is vouching for one man. We are standing up for EVERYONE’s right to due process under the Constitution.

A key point from @hakeemjefferson.bsky.social. You can’t just be for rights or liberties for people you like or who you agree with or people you deem deserving. Believing in democracy means supporting rights for all.
I think a lot abt how marginalized people are expected to be perfect just to be treated w/ basic dignity, just to access legal protection. But democracy can’t mean rights for the respectable few. It has to mean fair and just treatment even for those seen as least deserving. That’s the real test.
