You’re so right. They’ve made such a mess of it. Becky goes around Wetherfield as she pleases, but then dark comes and she needs to be protected? Make it make sense.

Everything you said. Not sure producers realise that if they split up because they don’t trust each other anymore, that’s it. Yeah they can get back and be endgame but it wouldn’t be the same, at least for me.

Let’s just agree to disagree (and the legal world thrives on technicalities) but there you go. In the UK the reappearance of the spouse nullifies the death certificate.

I wish you were right! This castle of lies doesn’t have legal legs to stand on. Which again would be different if Lisa didn’t know that B was alive. She could have married Carla in good faith. Now she can’t.

All true if you don’t know that your spouse is still alive. Not only Lisa knows that B is alive but also knows that the official docs were forged. You screenshot really doesn’t apply to the case.

Perjury leads to criminal charges in the UK. And I think that’s the reason why she came back, to block the wedding by her mere presence. Lisa knows that the death certificate is false. This changes everything (which is also why Lisa asked “do I have to start divorce proceedings?).

Mmm not sure about this. It would be different if they had gotten married before B showed up. Now Lisa knows that B is not dead, and she would be declaring the false if she got married only on the premise that she’s a widow.

Yes, beyond ridiculous, but if it helps moving this storyline quicker I’ll be happy.
