In Gaelic Football (in Ireland) they created a rule whereby you must keep 3 players in each half at all times. Effectively trying to prevent you putting all your players behind the ball, and it has worked.

It would be made difficult in football due to the offside rule, but surely there's some way.

I agree, my point being we've played somewhere between 20 and 30 games so far this season. I don't think it's unreasonable for Arteta to not expect a mass injury crisis in isolated positions at this point of the season, even without mass rotation. Maybe he'd have expected 1/2 injuries.

While I don't disagree, as much as us fans talk about rotation, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect players to play 20/30 games without getting injured.

Plenty of players play that many games a year without it.
