The Backlash

I am (mainly) an adult content creator who uses AI to generate images. I wouldn’t call myself an “artist”, but I do put actual effort into my work, not just typing in a prompt and spitting out slop. The idea comes first, then I use AI to get it on “paper”.
If you have to be rude and can’t defend your position without insults, fine.

Except that isn’t what AI does. It doesn’t have a massive database of images inside of it. It’s more like researching an article you are writing and then putting that information in your own words.

Also, saying work is “stolen” means you feel you were entitled to that work in the first place. That’s not how this works. And if an artist can’t beat an AI program in creativity, they weren’t much of an artist to begin with.

“Taking from one source is stealing, taking from many is research”. And that’s what AI does, research.
January 6, 2025 at 8:44 PM
It isn’t theft by any stretch of the imagination. Most people just don’t understand how AI art actually works.

Block me if you’d like, but I honestly think your hostility is misguided.

You are aware it wasn’t that long ago that the arguments used against AI art were used against digital art as well, right?
January 6, 2025 at 8:37 PM
I honestly don’t see why you consider the two mutually exclusive. I have great respect for conventional artists.
January 6, 2025 at 8:35 PM
It really isn’t. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Ewww… consensual? /s

You really shouldn’t be trying to pass off BAD AI art as photography. Look at those toes.

A little inpainting can go a long way.

Shadman was popular and drawing that content well before AI, not to mention the adult manga industry. It’s a shock value argument, not one based on merit.

You have to hide behind “sexual assault imagery” despite the fact that that’s been a thing for a LONG time. Banning AI for that is the same as banning drawing because some people will draw gross things.
December 20, 2024 at 7:38 AM
You, like the people who write those articles, can’t actually defend your position when it’s obvious flaws are pointed out to you.
December 20, 2024 at 7:35 AM
Kinda sad you can’t defend your point.
December 20, 2024 at 7:33 AM
I understand you’re likely just going to block me instead of engaging, but I do think you are blowing this out of proportion. AI, like all forms of technological advancement, can be used for good or evil.

People have been drawing celebrities nude for forever, this isn’t a new phenomenon.

So you’re saying the only thing that makes you an artist is the ability to move a pencil accurately? You are devoid of creativity, and have nothing more to contribute than a machine would?

I’m not wanting this to be hostile, I’m genuinely wanting to discuss this.
December 20, 2024 at 7:20 AM
I’m aware of all those arguments, they’re mostly nonsensical.

Which one would you like me to debunk first?
December 20, 2024 at 7:15 AM
I don’t really understand the AI hate to be honest. It seems like hating tractors because they take away farming jobs.
December 20, 2024 at 7:03 AM
I’d compare AI work more to collage art than anything else. Not sure why it upsets people so much honestly.
December 20, 2024 at 6:59 AM
Seems like a weird thing to be upset about. What I do doesn’t subtract from what you do.
