An illegal search is an illegal search. Fruit from a poisoned tree. Simply put there is no trust in the relationship and that is worse than a bit of gear, unless you have been lying to her about your use.

As for who is this aimed at? I would say people a bit like me who read The FT, the economist, private eye etc., who listen to podcasts like The Rest is xxx, you know, liberals.

In comparison to me they are experts. Grace is an academic with an econ degree and a career in economic thinking; Gary has an econ masters, but his whole point is he was an applied Economist and that experts aren't really worth the name; and Richard is a tax expert as he did it his whole career.

Took me ages to work this out but what you want is something that will smash the ice but isn't focused on a single area. You also don't want anything too heavy.

To add to this - section 12.9.4.1 says that because both innings were less than 70 overs no overs were lost. Yep, you read that right.
That's not the only madness of section 12, for example 12.9.3.4 says the batting team can waste as much time as they like without penalty.

It's cheating is what it is. It's preventing the other side from scoring. If you want to excessively piss about with the field, fine but it should come with a penalty.
The obvious caveat is that 19 wickets and an innings change-over does have reasonable impact on total number of overs to be played
