I think this is why their next game was such a dud for me. All the same problems but with the venom taken out so they have a shot at monetization. What's left is a formless, boring experience. All that's left for them is antagonizing people online about their dumb fucking game for the nth year.

This game only appeals to "depressed racist teenagers" because you need their inflammatory, close-minded irreverence in order to enjoy the generic emotional beats and look past the bigotry, filtered stock image backgrounds, and plagiarized music.

It was a game exclusively designed to appeal to the specific heart pangs that isolated, terminally online losers go through. The untenable fantasy that, at their worst moment, a trad dino gf will come and fix all their problems. The resulting community is a gaggle of abrasive, bigoted weirdos
