It is the final stretch of Baby's Blocks development, and a lot has happened since my last update, including a trailer! The baby disruption chaos continues to be an issue, but only in Unity, not in the builds! I have no idea how to explain it, I might need to submit a support ticket

The baby disruption is supposed to look like a block thrown from a random direction towards the tower, however I am currently getting multiple projectile blocks from different directions. Oddly enough, the glitch stops once I select the scriptholder object while running the test..

For my upcoming final project I am working on Baby's Blocks, a 2.5D win-win arcade game, where the player must aim and stack the blocks before the baby knocks over the tower, or choose to ignore their objective and make the baby laugh!

The prompt this week is Abstract Art Game, and I am modifying my Flappy Bird clone by giving it poetic meaning. The meaning, you ask? It draws from the phrase "A life without purpose is no life at all", and calls the player to ponder what happens once they reach their goals.

Sampling passage and this life sim says a lot with no words and simple mechanics. I didn't move my couple for a while and they grew old twice as fast as @ratbro.bsky.social 's who kept them more active. Message: don't skip the gym kids #SmallGameStudioArcade3

Sampling Very Much Don't and the starting screen reveals the reasoning behind this game. "I Very Much Don't Want To Be Here." Looking at my little blue square shaking and unable to escape, I perceive this as a metaphor for social anxiety. Very effective execution!

This week's Unity project is on arcade game clones, and I went with Flappy Bird. The process was slow and not pretty, and I often got confused with my own code due to overthinking. I now have a few ideas to improve it that I think I might stick with this project a little longer. #SmallGameStudio

For the Text-based User Interface project I'm working on a creative writing tool based on mind maps. The user can either brainstorm their own character-based mind map, or generate a random one. Based on a previous Python project, I saw this as an opportunity to improve on C#. #SmallGameStudio

First things first in my console game prep was to familiarize myself with C#. Having worked with Python before, I found that applying my logic to the different structure was harder than expected. Figuring out the Dictionary structure took more than a few attempts. #SmallGameStudio

For my first Readymade Dérivable Walking Sim, the challenge was to create narrative through environmental storytelling. Deviating a bit from everyday and maybe not the wisest for a walking sim, I set my scene in the water.. Is walking really necessary to achieve dérive? #SmallGameStudio
