We are greatly saddened to hear of the violent attack on a community Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Australia this weekend. Our hearts are with those who were injured and killed and their loved ones and communities.

Like Dior, we're making good use of the first edition of Dracula for our latest work – in the SS26 Menswear show during Paris Fashion Week, Dior gave homage to the cover; in 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖 (𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙), we embrace the text.

We wrapped the workshop phase of 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖 (𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙) development on Sunday! Highlights: Mina’s nighttime visitations, the reclaiming of Dracula’s boxes, return to Transylvania, and the final chase.

We’re now in our final rehearsal period as we head toward our premiere in Los Angeles on Sept 26!

We had our final development meetings for 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖 (𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙) this week as we prepare for the workshop phase next month. The house (& Zoom) was full with the whole team at our script meeting. Special thanks to Joe Jordan for jumping into our final physical development gathering while Edgar is away.

As an arts organization that is proud to call Los Angeles home, theatre dybbuk stands in solidarity with the many ordinary people of our city who are speaking out against the raids by ICE. It is alarming to hear reports of neighbors being taken (sometimes by masked men) from locations where we should all feel safe – workplaces and public spaces. As those who live here can attest, protests taking place in opposition to the ICE related actions have been largely peaceful and there is simply no reasonable justification for the National Guard or Marines to be deployed to Los Angeles.

We are greatly saddened by the shooting that took the lives of two people, Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, outside the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday evening. We were grateful to have been welcomed by the Museum and its community when we presented work there. Our thoughts are with our colleagues at the Museum, the community, and the victims' loved ones.
