An English translation of Züleyha by Turkish author Hüseyin Erdoğan at the Tabard Theatre from 22 Oct-8 Nov. In it, a woman, played by Melissa Kenter, tells the story of abuse she endured at the hands of her father- and the complicity of those who chose to look away. A powerful, important play.

Jade Franks’ multiple award-winning Edinburgh Fringe show Eat the Rich (but maybe not me mates x) is transferring to Soho Theatre in January. I suspect this Fleabag-like comedy about an Oxford student secretly earning money as a cleaner will sell fast.

Hugh Bonneville will reprise his role as CS Lewis in Shadowlands. The Chichester FT production, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, transfers to Aldwych Theatre 5 Feb to 9 May. William Nicholson’s play explores the relationship between the author of Narnia and Joy Gresham.

Romesh Ranganathan will join Sheridan Smith in Alan Ayckbourn’s Woman in Mind, opening at the Duke of York’s Theatre on 9 December. It’s his professional stage acting debut.

The outrageously funny Broadway comedy Oh Mary! will receive its UK premiere at Trafalgar Theatre from 3 December. Sam Pinkleton who won a Tony for his direction is again at the helm. Mason Alexander Park takes on the lead role of the unhappy wife of a gay President Lincoln.

In all the excitement at the news that Kenneth Branagh is returning to the RSC as Prospero in The Tempest, you may have missed that Helen Hunt will be joining him in a new version of The Cherry Orchard by Laura Wade, and Mark Gatiss will be starring in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui.

Remember The Picture of Dorian Gray starring Sarah Snook? It was created by Kip Williams. He’s now translated Genet’s The Maids, which will receive its world premiere at the Donmar Warehouse 13 Oct-29 Nov with Kip directing. The cast features Yerin Ha, Phia Saban and Lydia Wilson
