Somehow it worked for like an hour until I started playing Guilty Gear (on keyboard like a weirdo) and ig that was too much pressure on the desk

I can't tell if I'm surprised or disappointed that just throwing a bunch of tape at it worked, but I do know that I'm terrified at what will happen when I inevitably bump my desk

At this point, tape is my solution to every problem (the metal bit just falls if you apply any pressure (including gravity), so I'm trying to hold it up somehow)

It started sucking like less than a week after I got it and at this point I'm more impressed at how the designers/engineers managed to fuck it up this badly than I am mad at the thing (though it is infuriating)

The thing just slides back down when any pressure is applied so it won't stay on my desk

This turned into a tangent, but I wanna end by saying: despite what you'd assume based on the pronouns in my username, I'm proud to be a Kentuckian, and despite the silly things like voting on the wrong year, our community is full of great people who love and care for each other and their country

Of course, some people will inevitably fall into the stereotype, but that should never represent the whole. I think Kentucky education (a big thing people have been bringing up) has improved a lot as I've gone through school. Sadly, kids do still think it doesn't matter, but that's a different issue

In case y'all didn't know, I'm a Kentuckian myself, and I can say from personal experience that as a whole, Kentucky and its people are great. Unfortunately, the rest of the country seems to have latched into the stereotype that all Kentuckians are uneducated farmers, but that just isn't true

I feel like it's really difficult to say these things without sounding like I'm trying to subtly go "haha Kentuckians stupid," but I promise I'm not. There's enough of that to go around in comments of posts on it anyway. I don't need to contribute to that, nor do I believe it

This isn't meant to make fun of anyone who did get out to vote or thought there were elections, I just want to encourage people to look into things like what's on the ballot (or in this case whether there even is a ballot) first because if there were voting, these wouldn't be educated votes
