There used to be obvious tells but they’ve poured literal trillions into this tech in order for those tells to become invisible to the naked eye, there’s still some pretty mediocre models out there that you can tell for obvious things, but the more advanced ones are near perfect now

it is disappointing and exhausting, but I think on a social level, the permanent defaulting to disbelief is gonna be so much more detrimental and will cause so much bigger social pathologies
