Does prayer literally heal? I don’t know. But I have heard of people who were healed after praying. For me, that’s good enough. I’m just happy for them.
Now, I’ll admit some people pray and it doesn’t work out. In these situations I’m just devastated that it didn’t work out.

My take with various unhelpful responses to the LA fires is that many people respond to actual suffering with conspiracy theories of blame, rather than focusing on physical, pragmatic help.

Some religious people say if there is no God and no eternity then life has no meaning, and that nothing matters. But this concept seems too nihilistic to me.

Every year here in rural Arizona we have a Christmas parade of SXS cars. All the families from the community come out and wave at the cars and hang out together.

When atheists bash tribal-sounding commands from God, I think they have a point.
When theists say existence seems to amazing to be a chaotic accident, I think they have a point.
I have a hard time saying exactly what I believe. But I also can’t attack atheists or theists full-throttle.

Our oldest daughter’s high school marching band was invited to Honolulu, Hawaii to perform in this year’s Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade on December 7th.
She and her classmates have been practicing and experiencing the area all week. We are SO proud of these kids!
