Part of appreciating human-produced art is of course its beauty. But underneath that is my wonder at why the artist chose a certain word or color, what life experiences shaped this work. With AI there is no wonder. Just "a computer printed this".

I would like to see an update on this story in a year when there is more data. May not change the conclusion but 300 people at my company were laid off in Sept to pave the way for AI. I'm sure that will lead to even more layoffs.
