Okay apologies for the delay on this but #WindAndTruth came out the weekend before I was gonna start discussing #TheActs by The Dear Hunter and then I got caught up in a bunch of other things but its finally time to begin the musical review of Act 1: The Lake South, The River North

One of the cool things about #DiscussingTheActs is that, because I am doing music analysis, is that I am listening to the songs again and hearing and recognizing new things each time I listen. On first listen, I never realized how much Casey’s voice carries the early songs. The man has range!

One thing that I should note before I get into #DiscussingTheActs is that I won’t be focusing a lot on the story since I think everyone should really listen to all of the albums in succession without a full understanding of the story. Please listen to this for the story on your own first.

So I have been thinking that a new social media platform is a great time to start a new mini-project. This is ultimately to help me overall for a larger YouTube video I am planning on making during 2025. Starting next Monday I will be analyzing The Acts of @thedearhunter.bsky.social song by song.
