IMO, the nicest looking LIRR station is Wyandanch, post its Double Track glowup.
Style is very unique and fits much better than rather gaudy designs from Third Track, Elmont, and most ESI projects. The area is still a bit rough, though, but improving with TOD. www.thelirrtoday.com/2023/07/phot...

@pinepowerli.bsky.social While I don’t agree that the LIRR is screw through main line intentionally, they do have this early train skip Carle Place and Merllion Avenue, when it could easily stop there and it doesn’t even save any time. At that time of the morning there shouldn’t be express service

@thelirrtoday.bsky.social Can we all agree that there's literally no point of running this train as it runs right behind a key express train. It would be much better off running from Penn and going to Brentwood, slightly earlier in the rush to take load off #1060 and fill in the gap for those stops.
