Chasing clarity in a confusing world, together, & with Jesus at the center. A project born of friendship among Russell Moore, David French, and Curtis Chang.

You can hold conviction without contempt.
You can fight for good without losing your soul.
And you can believe it still matters to love your neighbor—especially when it’s hardest.

At The After Party, we believe striving for good is never meaningless—even when it’s slow, messy, or unseen. Because this isn’t just about changing the world. It’s about being changed in the process.

Listen before you respond. Ask, "What led you to believe that?"

Pray for wisdom and patience, not just words.

Resist the urge to win. Choose to reflect Jesus.

You can be bold and gentle. Clear and kind. Convicted and compassionate. That's not compromise. That's Christlikeness.

What does this look like in real life?

Contempt says: "They'll never change."

Hope says: "God's not done with any of us."

When you give up on someone, you stop loving them. But Christian hope keeps you anchored in love, even when it's hard.

Humility isn't weakness. It's the strength to say: "I might not see the whole picture." And that opens the door to real dialogue. Real influence. Real transformation.

Questions like:
— What’s really at the center of my political identity?
— What does it mean to follow Jesus in this moment?
— And how do I stay in relationship when we don’t agree?

Use it in your small group, book club, church, or over coffee with a friend. Let the conversation begin.

Kingdom over party. Let’s keep moving there, together.
What if more of us identified with our faith first—always?
What if your church, small group, or community made that shift together?

Let’s ask ourselves: What would change if your political identity took second place to your faith?

Maybe it's because parties give us a sense of belonging, purpose, or clarity in a complicated world.

However, the kingdom of God is not found in a party platform.
It’s found in a person.
Jesus didn’t come to take a side.
He came to take over.

And yet, many of us defend them—sometimes more passionately than we defend the Sermon on the Mount.

Why?
November 11, 2025 at 4:05 PM
As believers, our prime focus isn’t a party. And it certainly isn't winning. It’s a person.

Christ is our first affiliation -- not a platform, not a tribe, not a hot take.

Everything else flows from there. #TowardBetterChristianPolitics

But if it's winning, proving a point, or defending your side, you run the risk of drifting into dangerous territory -- and of missing the deeper thing God is calling us towards.

Let it come in whispers, in confession, in trembling joy.
Let it begin in your people. Let it begin in me.
Amen.

Send a revival, Lord—not of movements, but of mercy.
Not packed stadiums, but pierced hearts.

So tear down every altar we’ve built to strength.
Undo the marriages of faith and power.
Let your church be marked not by winning, but by weeping.
