the conversation we should be having is that AI is developing and will certainly displace many workers, and we should develop government programs to even out the losses and gains between workers and capitalists. but instead we argue about whether a trans person was on netflix

I try not to give into fear. But it's hard. I do my best to focus on the light in the world... still it is so hard...

Idk but maybe the Lucas Museum could be a good fit once it’s open. Although idk that they’ll be free, I’d love if someone could convince them to join the Museums for All program that allows those on social programs such as SNAP to get into museums for free.

As a man do I get to post Sazabi? (I just really like Sazabi)

Again I threw it together real quick, there's plenty I'd do differently had I been hired to redesign it. More I sought to illustrate how if a client wanted a more "modern" feel you could achieve that while still maintaining original elements that speak to the history of the design identity.

I would've kept some of the original design. Excuse the shit I threw together in like a minute but something more this speed.

Gen AI atm will simply accelerate many of our current issues. It will destroy jobs, undermine and replace creatives, taint our knowledge and understanding with fake content, and further push the end of the worst of society all with a dash of environmental destruction. We are simply not ready for it.

I think if there were a better method of training this tech and we existed in a post capitalist society with more advanced clean energy technology to power these things then yeah, gen AI would have a really cool place as an interesting tool. But as it currently stands it is a pandoras box of poison.
May 13, 2025 at 9:41 PM
Ultimately it is here to replace us all, and in our capitalist society that is a death blow. It is also on it own essentially devoid of creativity, but highly polished, which will lead to a slew of mindless, bland content. Also it's horrid for the environment atm trying to power these things.

I see it like this, Gen AI is amazing technology, truly, and will only continue to improve. That being said near its entire foundation relies entirely on the greatest theft and a constant abuse of the very concept of intellectual property.

So it’d be fair then to say that it’s the sort of thing that could conceivably become an incredibly expensive hobby if invested enough? (Not unlike say modern tech expenditures)
May 6, 2025 at 11:02 AM
I’m trying to get a feel for some of the tech levels of your universe and what is and isn’t possible/commonplace in it.
May 5, 2025 at 2:21 PM
More specifically, assuming it’s possible, relatively how expensive would the process be?

Would a high spec android body be especially costly? Would fitting/powering what is essentially a (potentially rather large) super computer into a human sized package present extra costs or challenges?
