I partly believe that most online multiplayer games with live-service features, particularly with MMO’s struggle to retain new players because of the lack of reworked onboarding for every expansion. Even as a returning player I feel the same exhausted sentiment.

These games are undoubtedly fun. I just wish my schedule and my paychecks would make it work like it used to. I still log on to get a sense of participation because I love the communities in them.
