Tough day? Remember, you're not alone. ❤️ Sending strength and love. Bad days happen, but they don't define you. Focus on self-compassion – be kind to yourself. Tomorrow brings new possibilities. #mentalhealth #resilience #selfcare
Funny how a tiny shift in how you look at things can open up space you didn’t realise you had. With the right mindset, growth sneaks in quietly. No pressure, just gentle steps forward. You’re doing better than you think.

Sometimes the good stuff isn’t in the finish line at all. It’s in the little moments while you’re getting there. If you can find a bit of joy in the process, the results feel lighter anyway. Go steady with yourself.

Watched Strange Harvest 2024 and my nerves are still pacing the room. I’m a sucker for police procedural stuff and this one felt a bit too real. Proper tense. Proper gritty. Might sleep with the light on. #StrangeHarvest #CrimeThriller

Trying these @Tesco Finest roast turkey crisps and honestly… why do they taste like a full Sunday roast in disguise? Thought I’d have one, ended up inhaling half the bag. No regrets, just vibes.

Try swapping “I can't do this” for “I can't do this yet.” It takes the pressure down a notch and reminds you that growth isn’t a race. We’re all figuring it out in our own messy way. Be kind to yourself while you learn. #MentalHealth #KeepGoing

The Ward (2010). Thought I was above cheap shocks but that last jump scare got me. Full body flinch. I’m blaming the lighting, the sound design and my terrible life choices. Decent fun though. #TheWard #HorrorNight #FilmChat

Funny how criticism can sting, but if you sit with it for a minute, it can actually point you in a better direction. None of us gets it right first time. Let it help you grow, not flatten you. We’re all learning as we go. #Growth #Mindset #KeepGoing

Sometimes the simplest rules hit the hardest. For the rest of 2025, I’m keeping it easy. Call who calls you. Visit who visits you. Let the rest drift. Life feels lighter when you stop chasing what doesn’t meet you.

Not sure what to do with Superman 2025. Looks great, shiny as anything, but the story left me blinking like I'd missed a memo. Maybe I just wanted a bit more bite. Or maybe I'm just grumpy again. #Superman2025 #FilmTalk #MovieNight

Wild that nursing gets bumped off the “professional degree” list in the US. Like we don’t rely on nurses to keep the whole system standing. Feels like a step backwards and a bit of a slap. Still, nurses don’t quit easily. They’ll push through. #Nursing #Healthcare #Education

Budget chat again. Reeves is out here trying to freeze rail fares while wrestling public debt like it’s a Friday night pub brawl. Welfare tweaks coming too. Feels messy, but maybe there’s still a shot at something fairer. Fingers crossed.

Final Destination still slaps. Twenty five years on and it’s got me checking behind trucks like a nervous cat. Might have to binge the lot and regret all my life choices by film three.

Searching (2018) had me glued to the screen like I’d forgotten how chairs work. Proper tight story, solid cast, and just enough dread to make you rethink opening your laptop. Weirdly fun, mildly stressful, all good. #Searching #FilmReview #Thriller #JohnCho

Baby Driver left me staring at the screen thinking, fair play, Edgar Wright, but this one just never gets out of first gear. Slick, sure, but hollow. Like ordering a full English and getting one lonely sausage. Still edible. Just sad. #BabyDriver #EdgarWright #FilmChat

Funny how some words get twisted. At the heart of it, socialism is just about people looking out for each other. Public power, security, and fair work. Nothing scary. Just caring. Feels like something we could use a bit more of, really. #Community #PeopleFirst #Fairness

Gary 'Mani' Mounfield gone at 63. Feels like someone turned the volume down on a whole chunk of Manchester. What a bassist. What a vibe. Raise a glass, stick on your favourite Roses track and let it lift you a bit. Legends don’t fade. #StoneRoses #Mani #Manchester

This country is becoming more and more right-wing every day. And we have, apparently, a socialist party in government. Keir Hardie must be turning in his grave at top speed!
So immigrants who work and pay taxes, such as my wife, will in many cases never be able to claim benefits and be subject to deportation for decades if family income ever falls below a certain level? As extreme, terrifying and offensive as government policy gets.

Shabana Mahmood says she fears "Greater Britain" could give way to "Littler England" without changing the immigration system.

Some mornings you wake up thinking nope, not today. Then you remember all the other times you felt the same and somehow got through. Makes you shake your head and laugh a bit. You’re tougher than you think.

Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning is basically Tom Cruise saying goodbye by trying to outrun physics one last time. Big stunts, big noise, big grin from me. Silly, brilliant fun. I’ll miss this madness. #MissionImpossible #FilmTwitter #ActionMovies

Rewatched The Bourne Legacy. Still gritty enough to sand your face off. Renner stomps through it like a man who’s had one too many near-death Mondays. Not perfect, but I’m weirdly fond of it. Blame his brooding.

You know, I don’t think life needs a grand plan. It’s ok to just drift a bit, poke around the things that catch your eye and see where it takes you. We’re all winging it. Just wanted to drop that in case you needed the reminder today. Hope you’re doing alright. #MentalHealth #BeKind

Based on the Government's Deprivation Index, Bristol’s numbers are in and… yeah, it’s a tale of two cities again. Some areas flying, others still fighting for basics. Feels wrong that the gap barely shifts.

Everest (2015). Two hours of watching people willingly climb a giant frozen death trap and me sitting there thinking yeah I’d last about six minutes. Still a cracking watch though. Cold, bleak, weirdly comforting.

Some people live quietly in their truth and just want to be seen for who they are. No fuss, no fight, just acceptance. Feels simple, doesn’t it? Maybe today’s a good day to meet someone with a bit more gentleness.

Sometimes we forget that people grow. We all mess up, learn, heal, and change. Let folks be known for who they are today, not the version they’re trying to leave behind. Feels a bit kinder that way, doesn’t it? #MentalHealth #Growth #BeKind
