Moment 0 Map of the Milky Way disk. It's noteworthy that the central disk is over-bright compared to the rest of the disk due to there being more data taken at the center than at other places along the disk (the edges only have a spectral range of a few km/s at some places due to a dearth of observation data) so the edges seem dimmer compared to the center than they are in reality, by a factor ~2.
