Heh, why waste money to put them in prison here? To be honest, "life in prison" seems like a stupid thing as well. If I have the choice, I would rather die now then spend my useless life in prison.

There might be some edge cases, but overall I agree. Either way, for them to exist it should be limited in scope, and should never involve citizens.

Replace it I would agree, with people that are trained with a limited scope of involvment, the only reason to go after an immigrant is when they have committed a major crime(NOT just existing in the US, not shoplifting, etc..).
