A choice for the a substantial part of Americans these days. Many people are taking it to the streets. I hope it continues, and in ever growing numbers. The madness has to stop. Amen.

Here are a few pics from Geiranger and Geirangerfjorden. Norway. A UNESCO World Heritage site. I took these pics while on the way to the north of the country. It truly is a spectacle. #norway #nature #worldheritage #fjords #fjord #geiranger #photocs #adventure #motorcycle

It's turning! Referring to winter solstice. At 10:21 AM CET today the days will get longer. For some, like myself. this also marks the countdown to spring.

Below pic was taken locally, March 31st 2024. #solstice #wintersolstice #countdown #spring #norway #photo #pic #sundown #sunset

A view you'll not forget easily. The road up probably is the most expensive toll road in all of Norway. Or close. Highway robbery would be an adequate definition.

But once up it will be or might be forgotten. Especially on a day like this #norway #geiranger #photo #nature #treasure #unesco #wonders

Back to Norway. Here are some pictures from one remarkable road anyone who likes to ride off-pavement should try. At least once in a lifetime. The name of the road is Aursjøvegen. You find it in More & Romsdal. Pics will speak for themselves #norway #nature #photos #valleys #mountains #gravel

Riding in the Italian Dolomites means countless curves, and beauty to behold in literally every possible angle. Two days has been sufficient time to do, well most of the passes and roads.

Early/mid September is or can be a good time to there. #adventure #motorcycle #alps #italy #dolomites #photos

Ref to previous post, pics from the Dolomites. Been here a few times and it is a remarkable experience. Glorious are the mountains and the roads.

Henceforward you'll have to get used to regulations. Probably won't stop anyone from going here. #adventure #motorcycle #alps #italy #dolomites #photos

The idea to ride Strada dell'Assietta wasn't planned. It just happened. Coming towards Sestriere, I saw a sign and went up the mountain side.

One of the best rides I've ever had in the Alps. Colle delle Finestre wasn't half bad either! #motorcycle #adventure #Italy #Alps #photos #travel #nature

While I French Alps I met a group of veteran riders. Who were out on a really long journey (with a following car).

Here two of the veterans. The Nimbus had a creative "navigation system". A food box, with a scroll of road names and passes! #motorcycle #veterans #veteran #frenchalps #France #photo

I celebrate my 42 post in/on the Blue sky with some pics from right after the mountain pass Col de la Cayolle, in France. This was in the last days of August, 2021. And the weather was gorgeous, and stable. #motorcycle #adventure #france #alps #photo #travel

Among the French Alpine passes you'd be challenged to name a favourite. They're all unique, in their own way. But the ride up to, and down from, Col de la Cayolle was a great experience. Here a few pics on the way up. Definitely going back! #motorcycle #adventure #france #alps #photo #travel

More pics from the French Alps that Included a bit of criss-crossing between France & Italy. Some of the crossings on smaller roads. If anything it led to the discovery of many alternatives to be explored later. #motorcycle #adventure #france #italy #alps #photo #travel

Here's a little clip from the French Alpine experience in 2021. Familiar for those who've been in the region. Hopefully "infotaining" for those who have not.

Filmed while underway to the mountain pass Col de l'Iseran and Val-d'Isère on the other side. #adventure #france #short #video #frenchalps

French Alps is a favourite. Less touristy, more rugged, more.. natural than elsewhere. And plenty of surprises. A few years ago I rode most of the Grand Alpine route, from south to north. 7800 kilometers worth of adventure that autumn. Fabulous. #motorcycle #adventure #france #alps #photo #travel

Might have said something about variable weather in Norway, in July. But you can get (very) lucky. Combined with some awesome roads and nature, it morphs into an arm-pinching experience. Will not forget this day. #motorcycle #adventure #riding #norway #photo #photography #mountains #nature #luckyman

For me a motorcycle is an adventure tool. There are some criteria and requirements. Other than that it can be whatever.

Then we have plans. Not a fan of those either. Have long since lost count of all the cool places or roads found, because of improvisation. #motorcycle #adventure #noplans #riding

Clouds & weather makes scenery, in combination with nature. Sometimes bordering the magical. We had our share on this trip to the western parts of Norway. Of rain too. These pics were taken in the month of July. See alt txt. #clouds #photos #norway #nature #adventure #mountains #roads #motorcycle

Even more pics from the western parts of Norway. A country you visit despite the weather, not because of the weather. Because of the nature, the roads, and many other things. Go places where you're basically alone. #photos #norway #nature #adventure #mountains #roads #motorcycle #offroad

Near Stryn, in Vestland Municipality, Norway, there is a road that leads into this valley. It's a one way in. one way out experience.

This emerald lake, Lake Loen or Lovatnet, truly is a sight to behold, almost regardless of weather #norway #photos #nature #beauty #lakes #glaciers #vestland

Many might overlook this while touring in Hardanger, Norway. Definitely one of the more interesting pavement roads I've ridden in the region!

We riders have a lot to thank Hydropower projects for. Without them many of roads would simply not exist. #phots #nature #mountains #Norway #hardanger #osa

Summer memories, White Christmas outside my window. Helps to have a library of 50k plus pics to look at, a few of which might be good enough to share.

The most remarkable about the below picture, is the fact that the GPS knew about the road. #photos #norway #nature #mountains #offroad #motorcycle

Ref. to earlier posts, this pic is taken further down along the mountain road Bjørgavegen. The road is paved. now a national tourist route it used to be the connection between Lærdal and Aurland, Norway.

It happens I take pics without motorcycle in them. Like when you're presented to a view like this, in great weather it's hard to not to.

Location: Stegastein vantage point, Aurland, Norway. It's 540meters or 2133ft down to sea level. See alt text for more #norway #fjords #nature #mountains #photo
