2/2 So, I'm left with the only avenue I've got, which is socials. Yeah, it's clunky, but until I win the lottery, it's my best choice. Like I said, I don't mind d self-promotion because I understand the struggle.

1/2 Well, a lot of them, myself included, have "real jobs" that take up 40+ hours a week. By the time we get done and take a breath, most of the time we're exhausted and can't give brain power to learning something new. And my job doesn't pay well enough to allow me to pay anyone to market for me.

That's true. I'm sure most are indie authors with no marketing/promotion teams in their corner. That's me as well, so I don't mind self-promotion cos I get the struggle.
