so like if you're a college football coach and you play the Texas A&M Aggies in 2025, you have a 50% chance of being put on the hot seat or fired after our game is done.

Seven Win Sark, we're comin for you

*snorts* excuse me but I am WELL TRAINED
November 14, 2025 at 8:21 PM
fucking hell exactly this. I can see where value may exist but no one is willing to invest in it. They want those next quarter pure-exploitation returns instead of putting in the time to make the next big thing right. Nothing is built for long term value, only extraction.

"It's free money" is like, utter confession that such people are not interested in providing value, but just performing outright theft under the guise of smart business practices.

I actually wanna believe that we are at such a tipping point that this ecosystem of Utter Shit is untenable. As soon as someone realizes it's better for their bottom line for things to come back in house, bricks will be shat in boardrooms.

"Dark patterns are actually ok, dear shareholder"
November 13, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Man, software as economic rent seems to be the name of the game now, and I hate it. Make it useful, make it so all security stances require constant updates, oh no guess you better pay a huge sum of money to us constantly if you wanna keep doing business. And its untenable to make anything in-house
November 13, 2025 at 4:10 PM
The reason our economy crashes is cuz we don't have tools anymore. We have a bunch of useless firms that sap attention and rent from everything. I fully believe that "what happened in 1970?" is that software is some weird rent producing shit and no longer actually produces value for those who buy it

If I could use any flavor of nix for work under our security posture, I would.

And each platform interprets laws on top of that. Bluesky is the only site I have used that insists it needs my address and last four of my SSN to do normal social network things. Has me back on X even though that's algorithmed to utter hell.

Miss Rev sacrificed her eye like the tales say Odin did, to break a great curse.

holy shit you did not listen. Thank you for telling me all this stuff I already knew.

What I am saying is Bluesky is the only platform I use that decided it needed to do age verification, and it sure seems like posturing.

Good God, take a moment to read.
November 6, 2025 at 10:51 AM
tbh I probably should do that...
November 5, 2025 at 3:45 PM
my point is that *no other platform makes me do this.* Not X, not insta, not even blatant sites like Fetlife.
