Human misanthrope idealist hermit
People throwing rocks, sidewalk broken concrete and bottles at police fit what definition of non-riot behavior? It may be a minority, but it's plain as day actually happening, with footage from multiple sources. Denying that doesn't help any case against federal illegality or anti-ICE activity.

You might want to spend some time examining venture capital investment in veterinary practices and endemic price gouging against customers, with procedures and medicines with markups at hundreds of percentage pts against cost for routine blood tests, x rays, 'addon' unnecessary treatments.

Anyone who thinks AOC is electable at the national level in the USA is living in a fantasy land, reflective of the degree to which Dems have lost touch with more than half the nation. This is an elementary truth, regardless of her personal qualities and merits.
May 23, 2025 at 9:29 PM
I'll bet - like growing some musical taste versus going to see the dullest band in history. 😁
May 23, 2025 at 8:04 PM
Obviously they have greater responsibility, but the continued ostrich approach of Dems/left in failing to recognize the culpability of those around JB in helping elect the current admin. indicates just how unable they are to respond and reform.

2 things can be true at same time, not either/or.

Must journos always describe a reverse in policy as a u-turn, with its inherent negative connotation, versus a correction? When journalistic presentation of events always looks for a critical presentation of any act, it ceases to be impartial, evidence based coverage. It amplifies the problem.

Thrunt?

(A thousand apologies...)
May 21, 2025 at 8:00 PM
Try to think beyond this silly self defeating idea - DT's unfitness for office and traitorous conduct is obvious.

JB's failure to stand aside helped create/enable the second Trump administration.

These separate observations are both different and true, simultaneously.
May 21, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Meanwhile, the populace sits apathetically watching on drinking lattes and posting memes to sm, as if that's substantial. Until people are in the streets with firearms, this will only spiral downward. Whether Americans of this generation have the spine for such looks highly questionable.
May 20, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Yes, especially as opposed to that. Both are true. One has gained power whilst the other sits impotently & incompetently watching on. The absence of reflection on why that happened is a staggering indictment of how failed the Dem party has become.
May 20, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Funny: this would be profoundly unethical had he written a book on gardening, only to shill it during live TV coverage. After spending months denying JB's obvious unfitness to run in 24 only to write this book, with zero self awareness on his own culpability, speaks volumes about JT & his employer.
May 20, 2025 at 10:10 PM
I don't claim the Dem party would have won the 24 election had JB stepped aside early enough for a normal nomination process but it would have increased the chances of replacing KH, & a win.

The decades long flaws in Dem strat/leadership ignoring addressing 1/2 the country remain larger issues.
May 20, 2025 at 10:01 PM
... that Biden in greatly depleted shape is morally, ethically & (within bureaucracy-led control) functionally superior to the moribund reality of T-II just doesn't change the harm done here, that Democrats continue to ignore, in their recurring failure to be an opposition that talks to the nation.
May 20, 2025 at 6:41 PM
It appears you didn't see the 'same guy' - clearly someone in great decline, struggling to speak coherently, about whom the voting public/party was deeply mislead, which had grave consequences for the nation in fueling a Trump election win. The 'what about' Trump's attributes doesn't change that.
May 20, 2025 at 6:39 PM
This doesn't strike you as more self-defeating, especially for a minority demographic? What do you think black people will do en masse instead? Join the 85m who didn't vote? Or?
May 19, 2025 at 11:37 PM
If it leads the United States to think and plan in terms of decades versus tweets, it may be worth it. Endemic ignorance has few paths of resolution, outside revolution.
May 19, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Tapper's conduct in continuously denying JB's obvious decline on CNN for months, only to co-write this book c2025 is venal & deeply revealing.

It doesn't change the reality that JB should have stood down in late 23 & allowed a primary, nor the fact that he didn't contributed heavily to Trump II.
May 19, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Hopefully we can separate great political malpractice driven by hubris, that contributed significantly to the second term of Trump & all the damage that has & will continue to do, worldwide, & the sad reality of an elderly man receiving a horrible medical diagnosis. One doesn't invalidate the other.
May 19, 2025 at 11:11 PM
US Capitol Police committed a grave error of restraint, ironically, given the common pop-culture misrepresentation and understanding of US police conduct, in not engaging far more of the 1/6 mob with firearms. People beating cops et al with potentially lethal melee & chemical weapons warranted this.
May 19, 2025 at 11:03 PM
A universe of random chaos that has no consideration for human emotion or experience. We place ourselves at the center of things and remain largely as superstitious as we were centuries ago, whilst believing enlightenment has been widespread.
May 18, 2025 at 10:45 PM
Wake up. This contributed to why Trump was elected. Blind self-vindication & fear of admitting you're wrong about anything, ever, is part of why we reached this point. Moribund Democratic party leadership & failure to provide civic leadership or vision has enabled the Trump movement's 'success'.
May 17, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Somehow you missed your post history of unsupportable, conspiratorial blowhard yahoo disinformation from this list. The DSM 6 awaits, at least, assuming we still observe rational language and truth, at that point.
May 17, 2025 at 10:57 PM
Standing with pop stars? That's political or civic action, c2025. Historians will examine the extent to which pop culture and social media were lethal factors for the short experience and experiment of Democratic civic systems of government. It's funny how quickly we think we're post-history
May 17, 2025 at 10:53 PM
'The left' like any other demographic is far from homogeneous. Unfortunately its majority is increasingly pasteurized, impotent & detached from understanding of the nation, or how to communicate outside its own self-vindicating bubble. In that, it's far more similar than different to the right.
May 17, 2025 at 10:50 PM
These memes are flag waving that achieve nothing.

Form a civic/political group. Read the Constitution and law. Read revolutionary history. Buy weapons and train yourself. Educate your children on all of the above, because the state isn't going to.

Or, embrace Starbucks, Netflix & Ozempic.
