I told the brake pedal that the climate crisis isn't being addressed, and the power switch that I thought it could do better if only it tried harder, but the car still didn't move?

We have a loaner cat! (We're catsitting for a friend who's traveling for the next week.) She's very sweet so far, and not nearly as shy or wary as the photo makes her seem

went for a long walk in a conservation area with a camera-wielding friend yesterday: little prickly talons of innumerable chickadees, some nuthatches, and even a woodpecker!

(Yes, feeding wildlife is bad, but in this area that ship has definitively sailed. The birds and squirrels mob you.)

Transcription of second post, in alt text.

"Find something tangible to do for yourself and others, however small, and do it as hard as you can."

This was re-re-reskeeted onto my timeline without alt text, so I'm reskeeting the original image with it, because it was a ray of sunshine in these dark times. It's too long to transcribe in one skeet, so there will be two.

You know how footprints and tire tracks compress snow into ice, and then when it warms up the snow can melt before the ice? We went for a walk and I saw icy negative-fossil cat paw prints!

A productive morning: 8 containers of tomato sauce to go into the freezer (and 4 of stock coming out to thaw for soup tonight), plus I finished reading Emily Tesh's Some Desperate Glory while cooking. It's excellent! (and the tomato sauce isn't bad either - pizza in our future!)

Show me a picture on your phone (ok, this one's on my desktop computer) that has your energy but isn't a selfie.

Our tiny guest bathroom in the basement has no counter/shelf/storage space for someone to put their things, but I got clever!

Happy Halloween! Unfortunately it's raining and the umbrella makes it hard to get a good picture, but this year we have three bat-pumpkins and Batpumpkin!

Confirmed: the white-X-in-red-circle displays correctly but the X to close the alt text window does not. I saw this when I used the app two days ago, and again today.

So I've asked, via their website, if they'd like to add these papers to the archives, and made sure to mention that they include handwritten board correspondence so they don't assume they have it all already. Their auto-acknowledgment says I should hear back within a week or so. Yay! (6/6)
