Hi. I'm here to follow baseball writers and sites. Got any good suggestions? Thanks. Enjoy baseball!

Which the 175 innings would provide more often than not.

In today's game of bigger offenses, 4.18 is still pretty solid. Plus I'll take the ripple effect of resting the bullpen every 5th day.

If any individual contract looks bad the last year or two, oh well. It's an unfortunate reality of building a quality roster via free agency in today's MLB.

I hate to bang the same drum relentlessly, but if the O's right now are truly committed to winning it all in the next few years, then, somewhere along the way, they will have to overspend on a high quality free agent or two. The same holds true for any team in a similar situation.

Solid GB% too if I remember correctly, which I often don't

Happens. Sometimes you just have to cut bait. Sounds ambitious, though.

And we wouldn't want it any other way

Same issues but from the other side.

Is Gregory Soto still available? I kid. But he always felt to me like a LH version of Seranthony.

It appears as if Elias and Rubenstein are in "win now" mode. If that means trading away exciting prospects, so be it. At what point will an 18-year-old Slater de brun significantly contribute to the big club? If ever? For all we know, his current value is as high as it will ever be.

Get hot going into the playoffs with a rotation of Skenes, Jones, Keller and Bubba (assuming he's pretty developed by then) and that could be a scary opponent.

Omg I totally forgot about your previous post. Figured Tong would be wishful thinking.

Great stuff here, Dan, as usual.

Hmmmm...maybe St Louis needs a first baseman now. And maybe they'd like to include a lefty reliever in the package.

There is a great, quiet value in having a guy who can give you lots of innings and rest your bullpen every fifth day, I will say that. But you wouldn't want to commit lots of dollars and years to it.

That slow mo isolation on his curve ball grip shows possibly more of a knuckle curve. Not that it matters, it's wicked.

Looking forward to your postmortem

Petco is a beautiful stadium, San Diego is an amazing city, Padres fans are extremely loyal and rabid and fill the park just about every night. Can't blame a player for wanting to stay there.
