And while I can entirely believe that someone would go on TikTok and act confused about an omniscient narrator, that's a different issue from the "it's actually omniscient" excuse for head hopping in a third person limited story with no omniscient narrator in sight

In practice, head hopping is more often badly constructed third person *limited* - it describes shifting from one limited POV to another without a scene break. If there's an omniscient narrator then there's no head hopping because you're in one consistent POV throughout, that of the narrator itself

A fantastic read, well up to CL's usual standard. Got it on release and finished it in a day. No regrets

Head hopping confuses the hell out of me when I'm reading. I don't mind omniscient if I like the narrative voice, but I have thoughts on the difference
