Trump supporters whom I have had any dialogue with, reveal irrational emotionalism and a rejection of anything resembling critical thinking skills. It is purely astounding, and yet… simultaneously, extremely dismaying.

Hatred is not the norm. Prejudice is not the norm. Suspicion, dislike, jealousy, scapegoating…none of those are the transcendent facets of the human personality. They’re diseases. They are the cancers of the soul. They’re infectious and contagious viruses that have been bleeding humanity for years.

I will not unwrap gifts given to me by people who voted for a party that has talked about building internment camps and mass deportation.
