Thanks both ! If I get it, Alf Bicknell's memories contradict those of Neil Aspinall. BTW, could you tell me where you found this quote from Bicknell ? Thanks a lot ! 🙏

I wouldn't say they are phoney ; maybe you're right about Aspinall's account - a change of plan ? By the way here is his account:

Just posted a few early impressions. Overall positive ! Far far better than the Wingspan book from 2000, for sure. More impressionist (fragments of itw) than the hard-fact @mccartneylegacy.bsky.social - I see them as complimentary, really.
November 8, 2025 at 7:27 AM
CONS: They make the choice to start with the end of The Beatles, which is ok. But quotes like those from Sean Lennon in the 1st chapter bring nothing. Hopefully things will speed up :) Lots of photos, some in colors, most in B&W - A more deluxe edition would have been welcomed. Paper look cheap.

PROS: It's not trying to tell the story like @mccartneylegacy.bsky.social did. Instead, it's mostly pieces of interviews intersected by some short text. + there are lists of releases, lists of concerts... hard facts a fan like (and you) will surely enjoy.
