Someone either on here or Twitter (long long ago) said “you can’t even spend a billion dollars.” I took that as a challenge. So I sat down and wrote out how I’d spend a $1B on stuff I’d actually want and use. I was able to spend like $450MM. Less than half.

Anyone can strike. Harder when you aren’t already unionized of course- but if the faculty voted 450-4 (or wherever the count was) against this move, organizing a strike should be relatively easy. Especially if the more senior faculty are on board.
