Verkijk je niet: dit is NIET het percentage hoge functies waar een vrouw zit. Dit is het percentage bedrijven waar vrouwen minstens 40% van de hoge functies hebben. Zonder seksisme zou dat ieder bedrijf lukken.

In Nederland haalt 12% van de bedrijven dit.
Een grafiek met verschillende Europese landen en hun percentage bedrijven waarbij minstens 40% van de leidinggevende functies in handen van een vrouw is. Three graphs showing policy change adoption probabilities compared to the amount of approval from different groups. Average citizens' preferences: the line is almost perfectly horizontal. Whether a change is supported by 0% or 100% of the citizenry has no influence on how likely that change is to happen; the probability is around 30% regardless. Economic elites' preferences: a WILDLY different story. The line is approximately diagonal; the more popular a policy change is among economic elites, the more likely it is to happen. A very clear correlation. Interest group alignments: similar, though it's a more S-shaped diagonal line. The line increases sharply at the 0 mark (where interest groups are neither in favour nor opposed). Meaning even a little bit of interest group opposition makes a policy change much less likely to pass; even a little bit of interest group approval makes it much more so.

Wanted to share my personal note to the receivers
Platforming notorious hate groups to incite intolerance against a vulnerable, stigmatised and besieged minority is a deadly act of cruelty. Two days from now, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we grieve all those who have already lost their lives to this hate. The BBC must stop amplifying, normalising and empower this dangerous bigotry. Understand very well that the BBC's shameless propaganda also plays a major part in the rise of fascism, not just in the UK, not just in Europe, but worldwide. Transphobia has become a pillar of the frightening revival of this menace that Britain once prided itself in defeating. Now, instead of standing up to it, Britain has become the world's number one hotbed of transphobic misinformation. History will not look back kindly on this betrayal.

In other words, they require one to be sexist. Transgender Netwerk Sinds de moord op Charlie Kirk in de VS gaat er steeds meer misinformatie over trans mensen rond. Deze geruchten blijken steeds niet te kloppen, maar worden wel herhaald door media, ook in Nederland. En te weinig achteraf gecorrigeerd. Dit baart ons grote zorgen. Media hebben een verantwoordelijkheid om niet alleen het nieuws te brengen, maar ook om dit te doen op een manier waardoor het geen schade brengt aan een grotere groep mensen. Eerst ging het gerucht rond dat de moordenaar van Kirk zelf transgender zou zijn. Daarna zou er ‘transgender ideologie’ zijn gegraveerd op zijn munitie. Allemaal niet waar. En overgenomen zonder enige context over de toenemende verdachtmakingen richting trans mensen. Het nieuwste gerucht is dat de verdachte een transgender huisgenoot zou hebben gehad. In de VS is er een grote campagne bezig waarin trans mensen verdacht worden gemaakt. Trans mensen worden steeds meer neergezet alsof zij gewelddadig en gevaarlijk zijn. En Amerikaanse politici en media doen hun best om trans mensen aan te wijzen als schuldige voor deze moord. Dit incident lijkt gebruikt te worden als een excuus om haat tegen trans mensen op te stoken. Met alle gevolgen van dien. Het is belangrijk dat Nederlandse media hier niet aan mee gaan doen, ook niet per ongeluk. Daarom roepen wij media op om kritisch naar hun oude berichtgeving te kijken. Hoe media over deze moord bericht, heeft namelijk direct invloed op hoe trans mensen worden gezien, en hoe over hen gesproken wordt. En zelfs op hun veiligheid. Ook in Nederland. Wij verzoeken daarom Nederlandse media om hun oude berichten over deze moord te rectificeren en te verbeteren. Wij gaan graag met media in gesprek over hoe zij ervoor kunnen zorgen dat ze in de toekomst niet (per ongeluk) meegaan in dit soort gevaarlijke misinformatie.
