My older brother met President Kennedy at the end of his sophomore year at the 1962 West Point graduation. He was Senator Kennedy’s last service academy appointment, the photo attached showing the Pres meeting all his Massachusetts appointee-cadets. (Guy in wheelchair-oldest living WP graduate)

I was in 2nd grade, off school for some reason, at my aunts who was watching me and my cousins also off. We watched it play out on TV. My cousin & I walked over to the close-by high school where my mom worked. I told her “President Kennedy was shot.” My mother hadn’t heard and she was devastated.
