These hydra were hungry!! 🧪🪼

All the plants and critters for the zoology lab tanks came in. The first tank has leeches, the second has fish and snails, the third has fish, snails, a few shrimp (most of them were DOA), and 3 dwarf frogs. The spongilla will be used for labs tomorrow. Not pictured: hydra. 🌿🌱💧

Caught these chonks today in the lake on campus while collecting some Gambusia for our teaching lab aquaria. They were returned to the water after the pictures were taken. 🌿 🐸 #herps

Added some moss to the terrarium, and set up the aquaria and filled them. Have them settling and cycling before more plants and the critters arrive next week!

This is not technically associated with the lab’s research, but this is a terrarium I’m setting up for isopods and millipedes in the zoology lab. These critters will be used for exercises during zoology labs. I added springtails today #inverts
