Murphy the Bald Eagle (the one here at World Bird Sanctuary who tried to hatch a rock and then became a foster dad to an orphaned eaglet) died from injuries sustained during the storms Friday.

I’ve been fascinated by weather since I was a kid. My dad was a meteorologist, and I spent many a spring sitting on the steps watching storms go by.
We had an outbreak of tornadoes in MO, including my hometown of Arnold. My parents are okay, but holy. shit. Look at the size of that thing.
