I love to build a fire on January 1 to welcome the new year.This year I added wormwood for protection, bay leaves for harmony and to carry wishes, cinnamon for abundance, palo santo for cleansing, rosemary for healing and focus, lemongrass for communication, and birch bark for new beginnings.

I'm gearing up for my final visit to the beautiful and historic Oliver House in Middleborough, Mass. It'll be a bittersweet return to my favorite haunt; I really hope it's not forever.
