🍏 The Basics Work (Sorry...)
Healthy sleep routines, regular movement, eating more vegetables, cutting down on alcohol, cold showers, and journaling won't fix you on their own, engaging in some or all of them definitely helps. Trust me, I'm as disappointed by this predictable advice as you are.

❓ The Hard Questions Matter
I've had to do some deep thinking this year. As uncomfortable as it was, to truly ensure I didn't just kick my burnout 6 or 12 months down the road, I had to get into some big, scary questions. My Journal has seen serious action this year.

📈 Quick Recovery is a Myth
That "bounce back" we all hope for? Pure fiction. It took months to approach anything near my previous energy levels, and I've had setbacks since. It's been frustrating, but these days I've realised I may never work at work at my previous output again, and that's okay

There are seven types of rest - and they're all critical. Some of my deepest healing happened at choir rehearsals, while volunteering, and in the Pilates studio, not just in bed.

I've referred to Mozarts Requiem as a banger in mixed company before and honestly don't know if it upset the older choral members or my teenage nieces more. But Vivaldi does slap and the Confutatis is a banger so it sounds like it's not an 'us' problem

I was aware of it in July, had some really good intentions to pitch workshops and do some mini tutorials online then forgot until the last week of September. I feel like it needs to be 6 weeks - 2 weeks in October where we all realise it's happening, THEN an actual month
