It's over. It was (sort of) fun while it lasted. We don't come back from this in our lifetime, the damage is irreparable.

January 20 - FAA director fired
January 21 - Froze hiring for workers, including our overstretched air traffic controllers
January 22 - Aviation safety advisor committee is disbanded
January 28 - Fake 'buyouts' for employees to not show up for work
January 29 - First midair collision in years

I almost feel bad for the White House press secretary, what a shit show. How do you put someone in that position when you know it's gonna be a shot show

How many times do you have to hear "it's not really a Nazi thing" before you realize "yeah, it's a Nazi thing"?
January 26, 2025 at 6:11 AM
Jesus, it's like day 2 and we're already dealing with "it's not really a Nazi salute". Like what the hell kind of crazy pills do you have to take?

Why would I work from an office at government rates now that I'm mandated to, instead of taking the job in the private sector doing the same thing for double the income. Great executive order. Unless the intent is to take care of the building owners instead of the workers.

I didn't know it was open mic night at the inauguration! 😆😆😆

Or put another way, Trump is printing money using the blood, sweat, and tears of those that don't know any better 😔

... and with the clamoring of the crowd, and great applause from the rabble, democracy trembles in its waning hours.

Soon, soon we will witness in real-time, either the collapse or the resurrection of the American ideal. I'm anxiously holding my breath.

We used to revere our intellectual leaders, and now we ridicule them for being 'woke'.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you find someone whose thoughts are just as interesting as yours.

Resist.

Can we normalize empathy? It's not 'woke', it's just normal human concern for another.

The funny thing is that on Truth Social, it's a crazy person's fantasy. Here on VlueSky, it's science and facts. The difference couldn't be more stark.

If you are the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room.

Why is it that I'm the bad guy for wanting you to have healthcare? Is it because the billionaire's will have to give up a tiny fraction of their wealth?

Even more thoughts...

Between 1979 and 2021, the wages of the top 1% grew by 206%, while wages for the bottom 90% grew by only 29%

More thoughts...

The top 1% holds almost half of all corporate equities and mutual fund shares in 2023, nearly doubling since 2003, while the middle class owns only about 12%

The top 1% own nearly half of all private-company wealth today, up from about 30% in 1990.

Thoughts....

Middle-class Americans have reason to fear for their economic future, and it's because of financial tricks and market manipulation.

The top 1% of American earners now own more wealth than the entire middle class and it's not because they “work harder than you".
