Listening to some pre-work tunes this morning including Big Mouth Strikes Again. One of my favourite Smiths songs. I first heard it performed live on The Whistle Test with the great introduction by Andy Kershaw. *That* almost-flamenco guitar intro is peak Johnny Marr. #thesmiths #80sIndie

Seven years ago tonight I took my old mate Russ to Hydes Bar in Norton to sample the beer he brewed (Roundhill Brewery). It was the first time his beer was on in a pub. It was fabulous. Such a shame what happened to his brewing premises. His Billy Town Brown was just magnificent.
