Dimm City, a game that uses Quest has successfully crowdfunded recently.

I completely agree, it's a very interesting risk gauge for conflicts, my favourite piece of design in this little game.

I just managed to schedule a first playtest tomorrow evening! Let's see if I can take advantage of the updated version!

Tenra Bansho Zero does the opposite: you get bonuses to your actions the more you're wounded, and I always loved that detail.

Finding the players took longer than expected, but the game's awesome, tethers gave it a lot more depth, and in general it runs smoothly and its mechanics highlight the experience. It's quite punitive, though, just right for a oneshot, but too tough for longer play.

TBZ for how every defense is a counterattack, and how techniques and skill mesh.

@cloudbreakerrpg.bsky.social is a streamlined trad system, but with lots of entertaining options that you need to approach and engage with.

SH for its action economy and attacks that fuel metacurrency for your allies.

Tenra Bansho Zero is one of my all-around favourite games, and its combat system always delivered.

I'm also enjoying Cloudbreaker Alliance quite a lot for its combat system as well.

But you should also really check out @sandroad.moe 's awesome Steel Hearts.

That sounds a lot like Sword Saints...

At first I thought you meant something on the lines of "In the Time of Monsters", where stats are sometimes added, sometimes multiply and sometimes used as exponent.

Like the giant riding birds in Nausicäa that were called horses.
