Yes, but also I think it’s largely regional. Rural areas have more large cars/trucks, urban areas less; and the South/inland West have more large cars/trucks, even in urban areas. Canada is more urbanized than the US.

We came very close to doing it in New Mexico this legislative session, but it stalled in the Finance Committee. We already have free childcare though!

I think the best way to communicate it is probably to put people’s personal stake in it. What if *you*, as an innocent person, didn’t get due process to prove your innocence?

Matt’s tweet is badly conveyed. He did a podcast episode on the topic of ‘old-money’ Influencer cosplay and the aesthetics of the ‘New Right’ that probably clears up his actual views on this better. I don’t think he’s actually saying this aesthetic was ever available to the general masses.
