So my hands take a beating here and there and both chips are absolutely fine and the xSIID lights up just as bright as just after healing.

Cat trap hack:
For smart ferals, we've tried all forms of fried chicken in our trapping adventures. KFC wins, BY FAR. Ferals go crazy over it. If you have access to KFC, it makes fantastic bait.
Just make sure you remove all the breading from the meat, pop it in the trap and you're good to go.
