Sitting on the DC Metro and someone starts playing Sonic Mania on their phone at full blast (presumably the Netflix version), gives me hope for this city and country visiting monuments and local restaurants barely overcomes.

I like the cooler seasons, but one thing I can't stand is darkness making it seem as though it's been 10pm for five hours.

Sonic Rush is 20, and so is best girl with best theme. Easily Sonic's best rival, because she actually grows from it. It'd be great for Sega to actually start re-releasing these Dimps 2000s handheld games. Us old heads can't keep buying Sonic 2 forever.

I've discovered that the YouTube app on PS3 still works, so I'm going to need more people to make 4:3 content instead of 9:16. Phones are overrated video watching devices.

Thought about upgrading my smartphone recently, and pulled the 2nd one I ever bought from my closet. Still holds a charge, still connects online, still has some app compatibility (Android 6), and the OLED kicks my current phone’s LCD screen’s ass. In terms of design, seems we peaked a decade ago.

Fifteen years of the greatest rhythm game of all time: Rock Band 3. The best soundtrack on disc, the biggest library, and the most simultaneous players with the widest selection of instruments. The be all, end all of party games. I still host Rock Band Nights on a occasion with this version. 🎹🎤🎤🎤🎸🎸🥁

Watching Venture Bros again. I think "Heavy with goat, and burdened with terrible chicken," despite being the last episode and the B-plot, is genuinely one of my favorite lines in the show.

Crossworlds really feels like Sonic Team nailed Mario Kart to the point where I'd rather play the Sonic racing games that aren't quite as Mario Kart.

8 years of Sonic Mania, huh? Flew out to PAX 2016 to get in line and play it a dozen times. When Sega made the team delay the game 2 weeks for the Steam version to add DRM, I had to beg a friend to let me borrow their Xbox One and buy it for them. Took the week off work. Hype was real and worth it.
